Our Vision

Our vision is to provide a stimulating environment where children are able to grow and develop through the use of all their senses and imagination. We want to be a positive influence in children's lives and contribute to their journey through early childhood.

Our Aim

Is to allow children to harness their inherent sense of wonderment and awe to help them to discover the world around them and achieve their full potential in an exciting play-based environment. At Bangalow Preschool, we provide all of our children with the means to express their individuality through the medium they understand best; play!

Children

We aim to provide every child with a variety of open-ended experiences to cater for children’s individual needs and interests. We will promote an anti-bias and multi-cultural environment and encourage acceptance of our culturally diverse community. We encourage interactions in individual, small group and large group experiences while encouraging the development of socially acceptable behaviours in a positive environment.

Families

We support parents and provide children with an extension of their home environment while encouraging families to participate in centre activities and have input into various aspects of the program. We will communicate with families so that the continuity of care is provided and maintained while providing a safe, happy, healthy sustainable environment which recognizes the special needs and talents of each child. We will provide recourses for families in relation to child development and health.

Program

We provide developmentally appropriate activities which meet the needs and interests of all individual children while providing a stable yet flexible routine for children. We promote learning through play using staff as positive role models and facilitators. Our program meets and extends any special needs a child may have with an anti-bias and multicultural curriculum.

Staff and Community

We will value all staff equally in the team while encouraging and providing opportunity for professional development. We encourage open and honest communication between team members. We provide a valuable service to cater for the needs of families in the local community, while educating the children about community recourses through the implementation of our daily program.
